Fish Camp was built from years spent on the road making films in wild places: a home for fly-fishing education, storytelling, and stewardship.
Before Fish Camp was a platform, it was a growing realization: some of the most valuable knowledge lives with the people who’ve dedicated their lives to it: guides, outfitters, conservationists, scientists, and anglers who know their rivers by season, by hatch, by light, by feel.
I have had the privilege of spending time with many of those people through filmmaking, and I kept coming back with the same thought: there should be a better way to preserve what they know, share it with more people, and tell the bigger story around why these places matter. Welcome to Fish Camp.
It’s about learning a river over time. It’s about the people generous enough to pass along what they know. It’s about paying attention to nuance: the weather, insects, water, seasons, and the fragile ecosystems that make all of it possible. And it’s about understanding that the more you learn, the more responsibility you feel to protect the places that give us so much.
Fish Camp exists to deepen that connection. We create expert-led fly-fishing education designed to help anglers fish smarter, learn faster, and enjoy the process more. Just as importantly, we tell stories through films, series, and collaborations that celebrate the culture of fly fishing and shine a light on the waters, communities, and conservation efforts that sustain it.
If we’re going to help people fall in love with fly fishing, we also have a responsibility to help them understand the ecosystems behind it, and the challenges those places face. That’s why Fish Camp supports conservation storytelling and works alongside organizations, guides, brands, and local communities doing meaningful work on the ground.
Through our films, partnerships, and our Collabs for Conservation initiative, we aim to bring more awareness, more education, and more support to the watersheds and organizations that need it most. Because better anglers should also become better stewards.
Fish Camp wouldn’t exist without the guides, instructors, filmmakers, partners, and conservation leaders who’ve helped shape it. Jon “JK” Klaczkiewicz has over 25 years of experience in high-impact filmmaking and branded content. JK is a passionate and motivated media professional with a proven track record of leading and executing film, commercial, and marketing projects from development to distribution while managing resources, budgets, crews, and talent.
As a director and producer, he has created dozens of films and campaigns that have won awards, reached millions of viewers, and inspired action. His credits include the critically acclaimed snowboard epic “The Fourth Phase” for Red Bull Media House, the impact documentary “Tribal Waters” for Patagonia, and the annual signature ski and snowboard film projects for Teton Gravity Research. JK directed “Beyond The Horizon”, winning Best Film at the Fly Fishing Film Awards, as well as branded content projects like Sitka’s Place of Peace. He loves collaborating with creative professionals, growing strong teams, and tackling a variety of challenges along the way, with the goal to tell stories that matter.
AJ has a lifelong passion for fly fishing and an innate curiosity for finding out what lives beneath the water’s surface. He’s an outdoor and fly fishing photographer, cinematographer, filmmaker and editor based out of Bend, OR. Fly fishing photography and filmmaking started out as a hobby that allowed each day of fishing to be extended into the editing and sharing processes. He now creates photos and videos that attempt to convey emotion and the beauty of landscapes, rivers, lakes and the fish we chase in hopes of inspiring others to respect our fisheries and preserve them for the future.
